Quill is a product of Orbit, operated by Zync AI Solutions, Inc. (“we,” “our,” “us”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website or use any Orbit product (including Quill, and any future Orbit AI employees we offer). It also explains the rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you request a demo, we collect the firm and contact details you submit, including firm name, your name, email address, phone number, firm size, state, practice area, current tools, and the information you share about your practice. When you become a customer, we collect additional information necessary to operate Quill on your firm’s behalf, including credentials you authorize for connected services.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit our website, we collect standard log information — IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer, and timestamps — for security, performance, and analytics.
Information about your firm’s clients
If your firm uses Quill, the product processes communications and case data on your firm’s behalf. We act as a data processor for that information. Your firm is the controller and is responsible for the lawful basis for processing under applicable privacy laws.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the service, respond to demo requests, communicate with our customers, secure the platform, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers we use to operate Quill — including our infrastructure, model, and communications providers — and only as necessary to deliver the service. Each of these providers is contractually bound to confidentiality and security commitments. We may also share information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, our customers, or the public.
AI model providers and training
Quill uses Claude from Anthropic for AI reasoning. None of our customers’ data is used to train AI models. This is contractually committed by our model provider and passed through to our customers in writing.
Data security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, tenant-level isolation enforced at the database layer, and least-privilege access controls. We maintain audit logs of access to customer data and follow incident response procedures in the event of a security event. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to maintain a security posture appropriate for the kind of data we process.
Data retention
We retain customer data for the duration of the customer relationship and as required by law. Customers may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us. Demo request information is retained for a reasonable period to support our sales and outreach process and is deleted on request.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or port your personal information. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
International users
Quill is operated in the United States. By using our website or services, you understand and consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
Changes to this policy
